Our origin
A personal commitment that grew into Salsabeel
Salsabeel began with Nehal Azab’s longstanding commitment to helping people facing hardship in Egypt. Together with her son, Eiad El Fateh, she turned individual acts of giving into an organization that could invite others to help.
From the beginning, they wanted Salsabeel to remain personal and accountable: understand each situation, work with people they trust and provide assistance without allowing administrative costs to reduce the help received by beneficiaries.
Salsabeel was incorporated as a Canadian non-profit organization in 2022 and became a registered charity under the Canadian Income Tax Act in 2024.
The idea remains simple: bring people closer to the impact of their giving while treating every person we assist with dignity and care.

Our structure is intentionally simple so that we can stay close to the people we serve and remain accountable to those who support our work.
Our mission
To reduce poverty and ease hardship by providing direct food, education, medical and financial assistance to vulnerable people in Egypt.
Volunteer-run
Our board, team and local volunteers contribute their time because they believe in personal, community-based action.
Separate administration
Our founders pay the charity’s administrative expenses personally, allowing 100% of donations to go to beneficiaries.
