2025 Ramadan Bazaar
Salsabeel’s first Ramadan Bazaar brought the Abbotsford community together to support charitable work and create opportunities for local small businesses.
Our first Ramadan Bazaar
On February 1, 2025, Salsabeel Charity hosted its first Ramadan Bazaar in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Approximately 200 community members attended the event to explore a diverse marketplace, support local businesses and learn more about Salsabeel’s charitable work.
Salsabeel provided vendors with tables at no cost, giving local entrepreneurs an accessible opportunity to showcase their products, meet new customers and grow their businesses. The event featured handmade goods, products from Siwa, Egypt, and a range of other locally offered items.
The bazaar generated approximately $3,000 in total vendor sales. In addition to supporting local entrepreneurs, the event helped strengthen connections among vendors, volunteers and members of the Abbotsford community.
Supporting local entrepreneurs
Providing free vendor space was an important part of the event. It allowed participating businesses to retain their earnings while gaining exposure and connecting with new customers.
The bazaar demonstrated how a community event can create impact in two places at once: by supporting entrepreneurs in Abbotsford and raising funds for people in need in Egypt.
